Coming from Central America, Chia seeds were considered “Gold” by the Aztecs, Mayans and Incas.

Already in the year 3500 BC. the properties of Chia seeds were known, a plant located in the mountains of Mexico that served as an energy source for the warriors. Chia combined with corn was essential to endure the long and hard journeys on foot that these warriors were forced to make. Chia seed contains healing and medicinal properties thanks to its high content of antioxidants and Omega 3 fatty acids. Chia seeds contain a high concentration of Omega 3; 33% oil (62% linolenic and 20% linoleic) 82% of its lipids are essential fatty acids. This vegetable also contains 23% protein and 25% dietary fiber. It provides vitamins of the B complex (B1, B2, B3, B6), vitamin E and vitamin A. Also minerals like calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc, selenium, boron, copper and large amount of anti-oxidants.

RECOMMENDED DOSE:
Add 2 to 4 teaspoons, to cereals, yogurt, smoothies, salads. It can also be taken in water, soaking about 10 minutes stirring frequently.

SUGGESTIONS FOR USE:
Mix in a 500-600 ml shaker (shaking well at the beginning to avoid the formation of lumps) with water, vegetable milks, juices … It combines well with muesli, fruit, and smoothies with vegetable milk or yogurt. Shake well at the beginning to avoid making lumps, always let stand at least 10-15 min before drinking.
